There are always so many wonderful art oriented events to choose from on any given weekend in Santa Fe. This past Sunday the Friends of Contemporary Art gathered to tour the contemporary collections of several prominent Santa Feans. Bobbie Foshay, Michael and Barbara Ogg as well as Richard Hertz and Doris Meyer. There were so many wonderful works……. Agnes Martin, Sol LeWitt, Richard Tuttle, Matthew Barney, Jim Dine, Florence Pierce and many more. The highlight for me in addition to seeing Barbara Ogg’s work and studio was a painting in their collection by Marcia Hafifi. I am enclosing another work from this series. The Ogg’s painting is a stunning salmon color. For me it radiated all through the room. It really captured my attention and has remained a fond memory. I also enjoyed seeing the Jim Dine sculpture. Twin Hearts and particularly its placement in relation to the Sangre De Christos, Well Done Richard and Doris!
